We have no clients. We have users.

We do not build software to order. We build our own apps, ship them under our own name, and then use them ourselves. Commissioned work ends at handover. A product starts there.

The script does not scroll at a fixed speed. It moves as you speak. This is our first app.

We have one app. It is not out yet.

There are ways to make a portfolio look crowded. We are not taking them. Whatever is on this list is something we actually built. Before we add a second one, we want to see the first one being used.

We have not named it yet. What it does is settled.

A teleprompter for people who speak to camera. You hold the phone and your script scrolls on screen. Not at a fixed speed: it moves as you speak and waits when you stop. Nobody can tell you are reading, because you are not chasing the text. The script never appears in the recording.

How we work

Few products, long lives.

Being a studio does not mean unlimited resources. It means limited attention. We work on one thing at a time and do not start the second until the first is done. What follows is not a slogan list. These are real constraints, and they slow us down on purpose.

It starts with our own problem

Every app we build was our problem first. We are not filling a gap found in market research, we are fixing the thing that annoys us in our own work. We are always user number one.

It does not ship early

Shipping a half-built feature is the fastest way to lose a user on day one. If something is on the list, it works. What does not work is not parked under a "coming soon" heading either.

We own it

Store account, subscription plumbing, refunds, a build that breaks. All of it sits with us. We cannot blame anyone because we handed it to no one, which is exactly why we are careful.

Our apps do not swell with every release. Adding a feature usually means another one has to go. We measure the product the same way we measure this site.

puevor is new. There are no years behind it and no download count, and claiming otherwise would have been easy. The only proof we have is the thing you are looking at. The numbers below are not our claim, they are what your browser measured: open the developer tools and check.

These numbers are not typed by hand. Every change re-measures them, and a wrong number blocks the release.

The name

[ pu · e · VOR ]

An invented name, but not an empty one.

Puevor does not derive from any language. It draws on two real fragments. Pue opens the family of Spanish puede and French pouvoir: it can. Vor is German for in front. Together they describe the work: get something running, and keep it there.

How to say it

Three syllables, stress at the end. The spelling misleads, so we say it out loud rather than leave it to guesswork. For an international listener: poo-eh-VOR.

The hidden layer

The six letters of puevor are the same letters as the French word prouve. It means: prove it. We did not notice while naming the company. We saw it afterwards and stopped. That is why the proof section above exists.
